Superintendent Engineer - Operation Excellence

Main Responsibilities:


  • Works with CM Expertise center / Central Planner / Operation team & Maintenance team to ensure the reliability and maintainability of installation.
  • The Superintendent Engineer – Operation Excellence is responsible for providing inputs to Assets Management System (Maximo) throughout the life cycle of new & old assets, for additional or deletion of tasks / updating of work orders / spare parts projection in line with identified improvement.
  • Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an Asset Maintenance Plan that includes:
  1. Value-added preventive maintenance tasks
  2. Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation.
  3. Develops solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues. To fulfil this responsibility the Superintendent Engineer – Operation Excellence will need to work in close coordination with the expertise center and technical Services.
  • Works with Operation and Expertise center to perform analyses of assets including:
  1. Asset Utilization
  2. Overall Equipment Effectiveness
  3. Remaining useful life
  4. Other parameters that define operating condition, reliability and costs of assets
  • Provides technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel.
  • Applies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and make/buy decisions.
  • You will play a pivotal role in managing statutory compliance, asset strategies, reliability centered maintenance and business improvement activities. Executing projects to enhance operational efficiencies and equipping teams to deliver sustainable high-performance results will be part of your key deliverables.
  • Leading a team responsible for short-term minor maintenance including planning & scheduling of such activities.


What do we expect from you?


A.      Qualification & Experience

  • A graduate university degree / Diploma in Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years of previous experience of HFO / Gas power plant especially with Independent Power Producers (IPP’s) involving state utilities, is strongly desired.
  • Hand’s on experience with Wärtsilä W32 & Vassa 32 engines.
  • Hand’s on experience with Power Plant Auxiliaries including HFO Fired Boiler, WHRB and Steam system.

  • Advanced maintenance work process knowledge and experience.
  • Advanced SAP maintenance planning and scheduling knowledge.
  • Advanced knowledge of parts inventory management, and mechanical and electrical equipment design reliability principles.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience working within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (MAXIMO).
  • SAP Experience is preferred.
