We are looking for an Inventory Expert to join our team in Quito, Ecuador. 

 

Accountabilities
-    Inventory Management in given area of responsibility (MEA / AMER)
-    WGLS operated stock, Non GLS locations, Contract stock
-    Monitor inventory, propose and follow up related actions such as scrapping, buy backs to WGLS, obsolescence identification
-    Reporting and follow up to stakeholders in different departments and locations (NCs, WGLS such as PD and PS, Business Control).
-    On time communication with stakeholder.

 

Main Responsibilities: 
-    Monitor inventories and trends related to contract stock, safety stock, sales stock and workshop stock in the local network companies assigned to inventory expert 
-    Propose actions for inventory management such as buy-backs to WGLS, scrapping, obsolescence management to correct stakeholders in different Wärtsilä entities.
-    Follow-up that internal controls, physical counting, inbound/outbound movements in SAP are done in the local plants 
-    Cooperation and follow up on corrective actions with local warehouse / workshop management teams, planners, Business control, technical support and sales 
-    Support and advise stakeholders where required
-    Maintain SAP data related to inventory status.
-    Plan and manage stock volume when applicable.
-    Create and maintain inventory databases and systems for accurately managing inventory.
-    Track/Follow up slow and non-moving inventory
-    Analyse root causes of inventory differences and provide solutions.
-    Support with Internal Controls related to warehousing & inventory for assigned region
-    Support own team with other Warehousing & Distribution and inventory related tasks as required.
-    Communication with internal and external stakeholders in a professional and proactive way, both verbally and in written.

 

Qualifications and skills required:
-    BSc in Logistics, Engineering or equivalent
-    Minimum 5 years of experience within Logistics, Warehousing, Inventory Management or Supply chain management
-    Good knowledge from ERPs such as SAP and Navision ERP related to warehouse and inventory management
-    Good knowledge in computer software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
-    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-    Good communication, cooperations and teamwork skills in a multicultural and international work environment, both verbally and in written
-    Presentation skills
-    Negotiation skills
-    Change Management skills
-    Fluent in English, both verbally and in written
-    Well organized
-    Attention to detail
-    Basic technical knowledge of Wärtsilä product portfolio.
