As a Workshop Operation Excellence Specialist, you will be responsible for driving quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop environment. Your role focuses on improving processes, leading Operational excellence, Innovation and WCI activities, supporting audits, and contributing to investments and projects that enhance productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Operational excellence and WCI initiatives related to workshop (WS) and field service (FS) activities.
  • Drive 5S, Kaizen, and other lean methodologies to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and track continuous improvement projects and results.
  • Perform quality checks during workshop processes and approve SWRs.
  • Ensure compliance with operational and quality standards.
  • Implement Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor progress of tasks and operational milestones, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality expectations.
  • Support implementation of new tools, equipment, and processes based on business needs, including new investment opportunities.
  • Investigate nonconformities and lead structured RCA activities.
  • Support preparation and follow-up of internal and external audits.
  • Minimize rework and waste.
  • Ensure follow-up and compliance of WS systems:  FSTM, WAMS, and WES processes.

 

Role Requirements

Technical & Professional Requirements

  • Knowledge or Experience in Operational Excellence, WCI, 5S, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Availability to perform on‑site quality follow-up in a mechanical workshop environment, providing timely communication and support on identified observations
  • Experience in Workshop (WS) or Field Service (FS) operations (preferred).
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, ISO standards (preferred).
  • Familiarity with SAP for managing workshop reporting and tasks (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma or Agile methodologies (an advantage).
  • 1-2 years of experience in quality, operations, or continuous improvement roles.
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering or a related field.
  • Fluent English skills.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to ask for feedback and find opportunities to improve .
  • Train, mentor, and coach teams on OE and CI tools.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making, even under pressure.

 

KPIs & Success Metrics

These will be finalized once the selected candidate is onboarded, but the role will be measured against indicators such as:

  • Reduction in rework cases
  • Improvement in workshop productivity
  • number of initiatives implemented per quarter
  • Improvement of customer satisfaction
  • Audit compliance results
