WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? 

 

As a WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE, you will work to ensure that all goods are properly secured in the delivery vehicles to prevent damage during transit, maintain a safe work environment according to Wartsila safety procedures, and count received and delivered items, among others responsibilities.

 

PREFERRED LOCATION:  Quito, Ecuador

 

As a WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATEyou will focus on these responsibilities: 

 

• Assist Warehouse Associates in retrieving specified stock from storage as per the delivery or shipping orders.

• Prepare items for delivery or shipping by packaging and labeling them accordingly.

• Move all outgoing items to the delivery area.

• Ensure that all goods are properly secured in the delivery vehicles to prevent damage during transit.

• Utilize warehouse lift equipment to load and unload trucks and put away spare parts.

• Organize warehouse goods and stack them on shelves and racks in accordance with company guidelines.

• Perform all duties necessary to maintain warehouse cleanliness, which includes sweeping, mopping, and dusting as needed.

• On-site deliveries as needed, per customer requirements.

• Maintain a safe work environment according to Wartsila safety procedures.

• Count received and delivered items. Weight items when needed.

 

Qualifications required for the position:

  • Technical degree in fields such as mechanics, electrical engineering, logistics, or related disciplines.
  • Possession of a valid forklift certification.
  • Proven experience in warehousing and logistics.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong knowledge and adherence to standard warehouse practices.
  • Proficiency in English language - desirable
