Workshop Engineer

Job Duties:

  • Perform and ensure repairs / overhauls on engine equipment/components according to given instructions as well as quality, health, safety, environmental guidelines and cost targets.
  • Perform measurement and record the data on the relevant measurement records document.
  • Prepare service reports using SWR tool on time and with expected Wartsila quality.
  • Performing preventive maintenance on all workshop machinery.
  • Maintain measurement tools and workshop tools.
  • Gather technical information from TKB by accessing technical bulletins and operational / overhaul instruction from product manual.
  • Access parts catalogue to find out parts required that needs to be ordered to support overhauling or repair of the component / equipment.
  • Experience in handling tools like valve grinding machine, seat cutting machines, honing machine etc is must.
  • Keeping work area clean and organized.

BS degree + 2 year of related experience, or AS degree +3 years of experience, or High School Diploma /Technical / Vocational school (preferably Marine, Mechanical or USCG) + 5 years of experience



  • Mechanical engineer with 4 / 5 years of experience on Wartsila Diesel Engine or similar applications as a Lead hand.
  • Mechanical technical experience of 4 / 5 years on Wartsila Power Plants or similar application as a Lead hand.
  • Gas engine Knowledge is preferable.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting Skills are essential.
