Wärtsilä Brasil is seeking an experienced HR Specialist to join our team. If you want to join a global organization with opportunities for continued development, this may be your role.

 

As an HR Specialist on the People Services team, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and productive work environment for our Line Managers and employees in Brazil and Paraguay. You will work to support the Employee Life Cycle activities.

 

This position reports to the HR Manager and will be based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

 

As an HR Specialist on the Brazil People Services team, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and productive work environment for our Line Managers and employees in Brazil and our growing projects in Latin America. 

 

You will work closely with Line Managers to implement and enhance HR strategies that align with the company's business priorities and support Employee Life Cycle activities.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide understanding of local requirements to support the businesses and employees.
  • Manage local people practices including the care for local benefits, the employee handbook, health, and wellbeing.
  • Support change initiatives that are having effect on local level, including organizational redesigns, change management and employee communication.
  • Deliver Local HR Operations in a consistent & coherent way & support across the employee life cycle in close alignment with the People Support Hub.
  • Standardization of local administrative processes and continuous service improvement in all areas of delivery.
  • Maintain corporate systems updated with transactions under Local HR responsibility.
  • Comply with all regulations, manuals, safety, health and environment codes, as well corporate guidelines related to quality, health, safety, and environment.
  • Ensure compliance with each one of the rules, regulations, procedures, and instructions of Wartsila.
  • Provide support in the development of Local and Regional HR projects/initiatives.
  • Support Payroll processes according to legal local compliance and Wärtsilä Corporate manual, guidelines, and requirements.
  • Contribute to external auditing, internal auditing and internal control reporting of the Company.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other HR colleagues when needed.
  • Increase employee engagement and build a culture of fairness, diversity, and inclusion (wellbeing).
  • Facilitate the global performance and rewards objectives and annual processes in the country and guide managers and employees through these processes.
  • Oversee the onboarding process in partnership with our Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers, ensuring the acquisition of top-tier talent to support company objectives.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively within a team and deliver services based on cultural sensitivity.
  • Natural ability to collaborate successfully with others, seeking opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Relevant higher education qualification, e.g., Business Administration or Human Resources, or equivalently qualified by experience.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and verbal. Spanish is a plus.
