Senior Service Technician, Workshop

Wärtsilä is looking for a Workshop Senior Service Technician to join our Workshop Team in Niterói -Rio de Janeiro - Brazil.

We search for a high potential professional able to lead and drive workshop jobs.

High customer approach, quality, health, safety and environmental skills are required.

As well as ability to develop self and others by transfer technical and behavioral knowledge, with strong knowledge with Wartsila` s 4 Stroke engines.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Technician or similar (CFT active).

  • Wartsila 4Stroke Product knowledge (System and solution), for installation operation, maintenance and repair.

  • Experience working in Service delivery.

  • Office package tools (mainly Word and Excel)

  • Necessary eventually travel availability.

  • English is a plus

 

Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Assist and perform repair and overhaul of engine components in the workshop.

  • Perform routine repairs, being preventive or corrective maintenance, following the manual's procedures to assure the equipment performance, avoiding further problems.

  • Operate electrical, mechanical and pneumatic tools (electrical drillers, hammers, grinders, multipliers, torque meter, welding, and lifting equipment) to perform the necessary maintenances.

  • Operating heating equipment, such as welding torches, ovens and any other necessary.

  • Perform field work and technical assistance, according to manual's instructions, to accomplish the programmed jobs.

  • Help the supervisor in organize and prepare the jobs (work scope, tools, and all necessary material).

  • Keep the work place clean and organized during and after the Maintenances, in order to keep the place in good working conditions.

  • Lead the subcontracted on the WS attendances.

  • Carry out the services at the Workshop, with planning of activities and resources, control of procedures and daily monitoring of the team.

  • Support to the Coordination of the Workshop in the monitoring and development of the team.

  • Guarantee work in accordance to Wärtsilä's internal guidelines and procedures (Quality, Health, Safety and Environment).

  • Perform service reports according to Wärtsilä procedures.
