Talent Acquisition Partner

We’re on a mission to realign our Talent Acquisition organisation to help Wärtsilä accelerate the decarbonisation of the marine and energy industries by recruiting key talent even faster, better and bolder. As part of this we’re now looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to enhance our recruitment experience. In 2023 we have filled over 3.4K job requisitions in Wärtsilä – the direct impact we have on our business results is impressive! 

As Talent Acquisition Partner you will be focusing on being a true business partner to our hiring managers in Latin America, especially Brazil. You’ll be responsible for understanding current and future hiring needs, translating these into proactive sourcing strategies. You will be the single point of contact for our hiring managers from when the recruitment starts to candidates first day, working with Talent Sourcing Co-ordinators to manage the different parts of the process. 

 

The preferred location is Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but the role is open to candidates in other Latin American countries where Wartsila currently has locations.

 

Your role will focus on  

  • Ownership of end-to-end recruiting cycle for all vacancies in Brazil, using cost-effective techniques and in accordance with company policies, procedures and processes.
  • Support business with high level expertise on current external candidate market, recruitment process, and other relevant HR guidelines 
  • Recommend optimal sourcing strategies that optimise talent supply, cost and time to hiring managers.  
  • Provide recommendations on qualification criteria for each position and ensuring a highly effective engagement assessment process
  • Delivering coaching and/or training to upskill our hiring managers in recruiting and assessment
  • Align sourcing with Wärtsilä People Narrative, and support creation of specific employer brand messaging and communication plans for these 
  • Support candidate interviews where necessary during various hiring stages including phone, first-round and second-round interviews
  • Develop effective relationships with key recruitment agencies and, setting KPIs, managing engagement, tracking performance and measuring quality
  • For niche and senior roles taking responsibility of sourcing, assessing and interviewing candidates
  • Participate in piloting, testing and scaling new ways of workings within your region to ensure business engagement

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll take high pride in providing an outstanding candidate and manager experience from start to end. You’ll need be adept at working around the local challenges to understand market drivers and what will attract talent to Wärtsilä. 

 

  • Strong and versatile recruitment experience ideally from engineering, energy or marine and international blue chip companies
  • Strong experience of creating proactive sourcing strategies, talent pools and candidate engagement plans
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese. Spanish is considered a plus. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
