Sales Manager

For our Sales Team in Norway we are now looking for a highly motivated and skilled Sales Manager.

In this role, you will work in a large team of highly competent team members with responsibilities within Service Sales, Project Sales and Newbuild Sales. You will be reporting to Manager, Service Sales Norway. 

The service sales team is located in Rubbestadneset, Norway but other strategic locations within Norway could be considered.

Your main responsibilities 

  • Maintain and develop customer relationships with Norwegian shipowners and operators
  • Assist customers in planning overhauls and maintenance of Wärtsilä marine equipment through a consultative and collaborative approach
  • Own the sales process, engaging with customers and internal resources, utilizing in-depth knowledge of products and market to deliver tailored solution that brings value to both the customer and Wärtsilä
  • Develop, report, and assume accountability for sales and support for assigned customer accounts
  • Support our customers by maintaining relations

 

Who are we looking for?
 We believe you are proactive, self-driven and have a commercial mindset. You have excellent customer relationship skills, and you thrive during negotiations. You enjoy working in a dynamic and skilled team but you are also capable of independent work. If you in addition have passion for the maritime industry and sustainability, we believe you are a good fit!

 

In order for you to thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you have the following qualifications:

  • Experience from marine industry - operational, management or both.
  • Technical insight into how ship machinery is operated and maintained
  • Project management know-how and commercial mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, both in Norwegian and English
  • A passion for reducing marine carbon footprint
