Senior Service Engineer, Propulsion/Controls

We are now looking for an experienced Senior Service Engineer to join our Field Service department. You will be part of our Marine/Propulsion Controls team. Location for the position is in Rubbestadneset in Norway.

 

As a Senior Service Engineer your work will focus on service and troubleshooting on remote control and automation systems for engine, propeller and thrusters, commissioning and tuning of DF engines as well as preparation and documentation of reports.

You are service minded with experience from Field Service work, you have ability to work independently and make decisions.

 

Required qualifications:

 

  • Certificate in Automation, Ship Electronics or equivalent
  • Education in the field or Technical school
  • Documented and relevant experienced can compensate for formal education.
  • Good knowledge of ship electronics and regulator systems
  • Good English and Norwegian, orally and written.

 

We require health declaration, as well as residence in Norway.
The position is part of the rotation agreement (4-4) and involves travel activities.

 

Training on Wärtsilä products and system will be provided.

Wärtsilä Norway AS sin felt service avdeling søker etter en erfaren Senior Service Engineer innenfor fagområdet engine/propulsion controls.

 

Hovedarbeidsoppgaver, ansvarsområde og egenskaper

Kandidaten vi er ute etter skal utføre service og feilsøking på fjernstyrings- og automasjonssystemer for motor, propell og thrustere. Dette i tillegg til oppstart av nye anlegg (commissioning), tuning av DF-motorer samt utarbeiding av rapport og dokumentasjon.

Du er serviceinnstilt og har erfaring fra felt service arbeid og du må ha evner til å kunne jobbe selvstendig og ta beslutninger.

 

Ønskede kvalifikasjoner

  • Fagbrev innen automasjon, skipselektronikk eller tilsvarende
  • Høyskoleutdannelse eller Teknisk Fagskole innen fagfeltet
  • Dokumentert og relevant erfaring kan kompensere for formell utdannelse
  • God kjennskap til skipselektronikk og regulatorsystem
  • Gode norsk- og engelsk kunnskaper både muntlig og skriflig

 

Det er krav til helseærklæring for sjøfolk, samt bosted i Norge.

 

Arbeidet utføres i rotasjon (4-4) og stillingen krever mye reisevirksomhet. Du vil tilhøre Wärtsilä Norway AS i Rubbestadneset.

 

Opplæring på Wärtsilä sine produkter og systemer vil bli gitt.
