Senior Service Engineer, Offshore

We are now looking for an experienced Senior Service Engineer to join our Field Service department. You will be part of our Offshore team, and the work will basically take place offshore. Location for the position is in Rubbestadneset in Norway.

 

As a Senior Service Engineer your work will focus on perform and/or lead overhauls and repairs of diesel and gas engines, start up and troubleshooting as well as preparation of reports and documents after completed work assignment.

 

You are service minded with experience from Field Service work, you have ability to work independently and make decisions. Experience as Supervisor/Site Manager will be emphasized.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Education in the field, Technical school, or B.sc
  • Good knowledge of ship engines
  • Experience from working with Wärtsilä engines.
  • Knowledge of electrical and automation is considered an advantage.
  • Good English and Norwegian, orally and written.
  • Experience with preparation of reports/documentation.

 

We require health declaration, as well as residence in Norway.
The position is part of the rotation agreement (2-3-2-4) and involves travel activities.

 

Training on Wärtsilä products and system will be provided.

Wärtsilä Norway AS sin felt service avdeling  søker etter en erfaren Senior Service Engineer innenfor motorfaget. Du vil inngå i vårt offshore team, og arbeidet vil i utgangspunktet foregå offshore.

 

Hovedarbeidsoppgaver, ansvarsområde og egenskaper

Kandidaten vi er ute etter skal utføre- og/eller lede overhalinger og reparasjoner av diesel- og gassmotorer. Du vil utføre oppstart etter gjennomført reparasjon og du vil utføre feilsøking. Utarbeidelse av rapporter og dokumentasjon, etter endt arbeidsoppdrag, er også en del av jobben. 

Du er serviceinnstilt og har erfaring fra felt service arbeid, og du må ha evner til å kunne jobbe selvstendig og ta beslutninger. Erfaring som arbeidsleder/site manager vil bli vektlagt.

 

Ønskede Kvalifikasjoner:

 

  • Utdannelse innen fagfeltet. Det være seg fagbrev, teknisk fagskole eller B.sc.
  • God kjennskap til skipsmotorer.
  • Erfaring fra arbeid med Wärtsilä motorer.
  • Kjennskap til elektro og automasjon anses som en fordel.
  • Gode norsk- og engelskkunnskaper, muntlig og skriftlig.
  • Erfaring med utarbeiding av rapporter/dokumentasjon.

 

Det er krav til helseerklæring, samt bosted i Norge.

 

Arbeidet utføres i rotasjon (2-3-2-4) og innebærer reisevirksomhet. Du vil tilhøre Wärtsilä Norway AS i Rubbestadneset.

 

Opplæring på Wärtsilä sine produkter og systemer vil bli gitt.
