We are currently seeking Service Engineers and Senior Service Engineers to join our Field Service Team (FS) based in Rubbestadneset, Norway. The positions require residency in Norway and the work schedule is a 4-4 rotation.

As a (Senior) Service Engineer, Engine, you will be conducting field service tasks as defined by the scope of work, in a role that will allow you to travel the world.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overhaul and troubleshooting of equipment families, including tests, fine-tuning, adjustments, and trimming for improved running performance.
- Ensuring that the work is executed in accordance with Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental guidelines, and customer site procedures.
- Performing installation and commissioning checks and activities required to ensure that the system is properly installed and operational.
- Interacting with customers during the work execution.
- Tracking and reporting the progress of assigned tasks both internally and externally.
- Creating Service Work Reports.
The below will enable you to succeed in this role:
- Service Engineer experience on Wärtsilä engines or similar (4-stroke or E/A).
- An M. Sc. or B. Sc. in Mechanical engineering.
- Experience with reporting and documentation.
- Flexibility to travel for jobs globally on short notice.
- Good English and Norwegian language skills, both written and verbal.
- Motivation to develop yourself professionally throughout the given training and support by colleagues.
- The ability to follow instructions.
- A customer-minded and solution-oriented approach.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
