Senior Technical Expert  4-stroke Engine Automation


Wärtsilä Field Service and Workshop is responsible for follow-up of Wärtsilä’ s Service products to customers and the network companies in other countries. Everything we do is embedded in our philosophy of providing total customer service.
Technical Service in North Europe has technical support responsibility for our products in our Region. Due to one of our Experts move to another position in Technical Service, we are now looking for a skilled Senior Technical expert  Engine Automation in our 4-stroke business.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES, COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

As a Senior Technical Expert you ensure customer satisfaction by providing high quality and on-time technical support received from both internal and external customers. 


You will:


•    Manage and actively participate in the group for "Root-Cause Analysis"
•    Contribute to product improvement processes for 4-Stroke products
•    Follow the relevant specialist environment - both internally and externally - through literature, research and contact

     with other businesses
•    Attend customer meetings and seminars in cooperation with our Service Sales Department
•    Provide specialist expertise through internal product training (internal staff)
•    Work in close cooperation with the partner teams within Technical Services. Close cooperation exists amongst

     these teams to enable efficient and word-class support.
•    Participate in our 24/7 Duty 
•    Perform Audits

 

Education


•    B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering or Bachelor degree in Marine, Automation, Electrical, or other

     applicable technical degree is desirable.
•    Documented relevant experience can compensate for lack of relevant education.
 
Competences and experiences


•    Approximately 5 years of working experience within 4 Stroke Engine Automation and machinery controls
•    Relevant experience with operations and/or installation and maintenance of other Wartsila products is a strong plus
•    A true team player with a proactive approach and technical reporting skills
•    Customer focused with a service minded attitude
•    Good English, Norwegian/Scandinavian skills, both verbally and written
•    Ability to flexibility and good cooperation skills
•    Ability to work systematically
•    Technical problem-solving skills
•    Safety certificate for offshore (if not Wärtsilä will cover expenses for this)
•    Willingness to travel
