Project Support Engineer

Wärtsilä Marine Solutions is looking for a Project Support Engineer to join their team. Position location is St. Petersburg, Russian Federation.


- Provide technical support to sales teams and project teams for Wärtsilä products in sales phase by participating in meetings and in preparation of technical support material

- Support Wärtsilä project team during project execution phase towards Customer

- Support Customers in solving technical and equipment installation queries and in non-conformity issues

- Support in goods delivery process checking packing lists, arranging arrival inspections at Customer’s premises etc.

- Monitor and alarm the risks foreseen in the sales stage and in contracted projects

- Monitor Customer satisfaction by participating in the Customer Satisfaction Survey process.

- Communicate openly the feedback to the responsible parties to develop the processes and products

- Obtain a financial awareness during project

- To acquire and maintain a complete Wärtsilä product knowledge within local office.



- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering, preferably mechanical, electrical, industrial management or shipbuilding

- At least 1-3 years working experience

- Experience of project work in industrial and international business seen as beneficial

 - Proven communication skills

- Decisive and ready to make tough decisions based on limited information

- Looks for opportunities to improve the way of working. Act as a role model for desired change

- Basic IT-skills

- Native Russian speaker with fluency in English language
