Modeling Engineer

 

Responsibilities:

  • Participation in the development of project specifications in terms of technical specifications for the development of mathematical models. 
  • Search in external sources and in the documentation provided by the customer, the information necessary for the development of the model. 
  • Selection of modeling methods and tools. 
  • Development of a physical model in the required volume (including non-standard systems). 
  • Writing code to run the system and / or creating a model using already developed tools and modeling objects. 
  • Binding of the model to the simulator consoles for operation of control signals, indication, input and testing of faults, alarms. 
  • Implementation of communication of different models in one simulator (exchange of variables). 
  • Interact with programmers, modelers, and experts to ensure the most optimal and accurate model performance to meet specification requirements. 
  • Editing variables displayed on screens and in the Instructor. 
  • Testing of the system operation.

 

Requirements:

  • Higher technical education (engineering, applied mathematics)
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and thermodynamics
  • Knowledge of C ++ and the object-oriented approach in modeling / programming
  • English at the level of reading technical texts
  • Programming experience or modeling experience using math packages

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of ship systems
  • Knowledge of numerical methods
  • Possession of Mathematica and / or other math packages
  • User Interface Development Experience
