Workshop Engineer

To our Service Workshop in Grunnavågen (Sagvåg), Wärtsilä Norway AS are looking for a committed Workshop Assembler.

 

The preferred location for the position is in Stord (Sagvåg), Norway.

 

 

What you will be doing

 

As a workshop assembler, you will, among other things, prepare for tests, perform tests – both internally and together with customers. You will train others (employees and customers), participate in the preparation of test documentation and production of switchboards.

 

Our preferred candidate has the qualities needed for interaction both with customers and colleagues. You are also flexible in doing other and random work in the workshop. As person, you are solution and result oriented, independent, quality conscious, easy going and cooperative. You also have good attitudes related to QEHS.

 


As Workshop Assembler, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Building high-voltage and low-voltage switchboards, distribution boards, and IAS/PMS and EPMS cabinets. 
  • Preparing for and performing tests, both internally and in collaboration with customers.
  • Training both employees and customers.
  • Participating in the preparation of test documentation.
  • Assisting in the production of switchboards and cabinets.

 

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • Finished degree with certificate within electronics, switchboards or automation
  • Previous experience working with similar tasks
  • Good communication skills, oral and written, in Norwegian and English
