We are now looking for an Operational Purchaser to join our expert team of new build purchasers. This position is permanent. The preferred location for the position is San Diego, California (US). The role can be hybrid as agreed and includes some local traveling.

 

As Operational Purchaser your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Purchaser activities; processing of purchase requisitions, PO execution, confirmation monitoring, expediting.
  • Production activities; Production planning, kits pulling, production assisting.
  • Warehouse activities; goods inbound & outbound, material transfers, inventory management.
  • Vendor management; Monitor and report supplier performance.
  • Occasionally delivery of material
  • Maintain material & vendor data to relevant systems in defined area of responsibility.
  • Actively develop the way of working in cooperation with process development.
  • Coach relevant suppliers and/or internal stakeholders.
  • Cooperate with relevant internal and/or external stakeholders.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Assoc degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in purchasing, production planning or transportation.
  • SAP knowledge is a must, preferably in MM module.
  • Excellent, proven team working skills in a self-steering team.
  • MS Office tools, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • Driving licence
  • Excellent command in English. Other languages are seen as an advantage.
  • Active approach to work.
  • Good negotiation skills and strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Target and result oriented attitude. Service mind set, openness and flexibility, as well as the ability to make things happen. Ability to work under pressure. Good communication and presentation skills.
