Location: Acajutla city, El Salvador

 

We are looking for an energetic people leader to join our fast-paced and exciting Team. We are seeking a Operations Manager for our Energy Business team in the Americas.

As an Operations Manager, you will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all activities relating to the daily operations management of the power plant inclusive of planning and implementation of plant operational routines.
  • Manage assigned operations responsibilities in accordance with Wärtsilä Services guidelines, the Project & Contract Management process and general management practices in a safe and cost-effective way in order to exceed the customer expectations.
  • Develop competent operations resources
  • Implement preventive and corrective action as necessary.
  • Responsible for all activities relating to the daily operations management of the power plant inclusive of planning and implementation of plant operations.
  • Communicate effectively with the plant team relative to the condition of the plant equipment and performance and to provide suggestions for improvements.
  • Administration and training of skilled and motivated operations personnel to assure good teamwork.
  • Set and maintain the qualification and training standard for the plant operations personnel.
  • Responsible for implementation of plant safety policy and QHES procedures according to the assigned plan.
  • Establish and implement standard operations policies and procedures in accordance with the Contract Management process.
  • Prepare reports, plans and budgets as instructed by the Agreement Manager.
  • Identify and actively seek to improve operations reliability and availability.

 

 

Who You Are & What You are Good At

Accountable for operations at the upcoming Power Plant in Acajutla city (El Salvador, Central America) named Energía del Pacifico (EDP). The Operations Manager is accountable to plan, lead, and manage operations activities at the plant and assigned team to ensure customer satisfaction and to reach set contractual quality, financial, cost and time targets.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have/be:

  • Know-how to motivate, engage and inspire a team
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Bilingual: English & Spanish
  • Willing to relocate Acajutla city, El Salvador
