We are now looking for a 


Global Manager Distributor Operations (m/f/d)


to join our team working for a better future. 


The preferred location for the position is in Schiedam (The Netherlands) or Hamburg (Germany). 


What you will be doing 


As the Global Manager Distributor Operations, you will lead the commercial operations around the Marine Voyage Distributor sales Network.
In this position you will be reporting to GM Sales Operations & Support. You will be preferably located in one of the Wärtsila Locations in UK, Netherlands or Germany.


You will be accountable for:

⦁    Global development of Sales (Order intake and Revenue),
⦁    Achievement of Margin targets,
⦁    Good Customer Relationships,
⦁    Effective Sales Operations


As Global Manager Distributor Operations your work will focus on these responsibilities: 


⦁    Build and maintain the Distributor Network
⦁    Drive Sales growth through our distributor network,
⦁    Own the Distributor (Performance) Agreements,
⦁    Lead the Sales Support Team, maintaining day-to-day operations,
⦁    Implement the Wärtsilä Marine Voyage GtM strategy
⦁    Drive conversion of Sales from End Users and other Resellers to distributors
⦁    Alignment on Service Network with the internal team
⦁    Maintain day-to-day contact with customers, building strong relationships with key-stakeholders through phone- and email and (occasional) customer visits

To be successful in this role we expect you to have: 


⦁    Proven exposure within B2B sales and Distributor Management. 
⦁    Exposure to Navigational Equipment and the application 
⦁    Fluent English spoken and written.
⦁    Good working knowledge of MS Office (essential), ERP and CRM (advantage) applications.
⦁    Knowledge of the maritime environment and products (advantage)
⦁    Strong work ethic
⦁    Able to work independently to fulfil tasks
⦁    Open to new technology and environment that is in a constant change.
⦁    Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
