Internal Account Manager - up to 12 month FTC

Wärtsilä Netherlands is looking for an Internal Account Manager located in Schiedam on an up to 12 month  fixed term contract.


The Internal account manager is accountable for all Marine Power Life Cycle Order Intake, account planning and CRM data logging of the assigned accounts. He / She is responsible for promoting the sale of allocated account and building and expanding relationships for all of Wartsila's Life Cycle activities under Marine Power, ensuring higher contract intake for small and medium-sized customers recording sales activities and information in CRM; promoting the online services, L1 user position within the company.



As a Internal Account Manager your work will focus on these responsibilities: 


  • Relationship management
  • Taking care of the operational customer contact, which can be delegated to the different departments within the Wartsila organization
  • Executing the sales plan
  • Inform accounts about the product portfolio
  • Measuring customer satisfaction through tools provided by the organization
  • Customer retention with current customers
  • Identify and develop customers with potential 
  • Act as a permanent contact person for designated accounts
  • Ensuring an internal network within the organization
  • Contributing to the realization of the set order intake target
  • Following up on a sales plan
  • Analyzing market needs and market movements in the short and medium term and providing feedback within the organization
  • Conducting contract negotiations
  • Active follow-up of quotations issued, both parts and implementation
  • Actively monitoring and (if necessary) analyzing the achieved sales results
  • Acquisition based on telephone and physical visits
  • Approaching prospects, based on supplied leads
  • Recording the agreements made by customers in the CRM system
  • Ensuring that customer questions are carried out within a reasonable period of time in the internal organization
  • Transfer of booked orders to the implementing organization
  • Actively (partly) solving customer complaints


To be successful in this role we expect you to have: 


  • Good understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Salesforce
  • Have a driver's license
