Project Engineer

Your main responsibilities are

  • Safeguard that the project related works are executed according to contract specifications and design directives as well as planned cost budget.
  • To plan the works with the total allocated costs and Customer needs in focus.
  • Provide technical support to customer in project execution stage and in pre-project stage when requested.
  • Support in the process of preparing the Contract for execution.
  • Participate and/or arrange meetings according to Marine Business Gate Model.
  • Manage (plan, steer, follow-up, analyze and report) contracted projects in close cooperation with the project team according to project execution plans.
  • Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of project specific documentation for the Customer and other project stakeholders.
  • Manage internal and external ordering processes, i.e., generate Internal Order Specifications, Purchase Order Requests and Notifications according to procurement plan.
  • Manage design requirements and changes together with relevant stakeholders, Product Management, Engineering, suppliers etc.
  • Monitor and alarm the risks foreseen in the contracted projects. Seek opportunities for Variation Orders.
  • Co-operate with the project team and report in all aspects to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain the daily contacts with the Customer in close co-operation with the Project Manager and ensure good customer satisfaction.
  • Manage non-conformity claims and internal quality improvement upgrades according to given process. 

 

You will shine in this role when you have:

  • Work as project engineer within the team of Customer Delivery, Power Supply, and cooperate with other team members in project
  • Mainly take care project of Power Supply&Propulsion product in Wartsila China
  • Main job are for project document preparing, place equipment order, technical communication with customer
  • Technical background in marine, 3-5 years experience
  • Worked as designer, production supervisor in shipyard or design company is preferred
