Sales Manager

Your main responsibilities are

  • Sales lead for after sales market, spare parts and service.
  • To grow new build, Spare Parts sales, upgrades & retrofits , shaft line repair, for all Wartsila Seals & Bearings products
  • Update and follow up feedback from customers in defined area
  • Build up and develop the relationship with customers in defined area, including ship owners, ship brokers, ship designers, OEM, Marine Dept, Coastguard, shipyards, Identify and develop relationships with potential & existing customers.
  • Actively engage other (global) functions and team members to capture opportunities.
  • Ensure quality of contracts and in line with Wartsila policies.
  • Customer communication and support for running projects in cooperation with Sales Supporting Team and factories.
  • Business intelligence and knowledge for the Region

 

You will shine in this role when you have:

  • Marine engineering or related educational background.
  • Understanding of marine propulsion shaft system and the shaft seals and bearings products.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in marine industry, sales experience for spare parts and service in marine industry is preferred.
  • Familiar with ship builders, ship owners and ship managers.
  • Strong commercial negotiation with customers including price, payment terms, risk control awareness and other terms.
  • Fluent English, both writing and speaking.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Be able to work under pressure.
