We are looking for Sales Support, Shaft Line Solution in China. This is a permanent opportunity and its location is Shanghai, China.


What will you be doing:
As Sales Support, Shaft Line Solution, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Process new build, retrofits, upgrades orders from customers
  • Tasks for new build activities include discussion on technical agreements/proposals, drawings submission; technical discussion & clarifications; delivery/logistic arrangements; non-conformity/trouble-shooting discussion with customers & sites.
  • Process and coordinate field service overseas jobs between customers & internal stakeholders
  • Support sales team by taking responsibility for daily customer/internal interactions & documentation if necessary.
  • Make offers and proposals for parts, field service, retrofits, upgrades & field service project
  • Coordinate daily activities and urgent requests with relevant colleagues in order to find satisfactory solutions
  • Make customers visit individually and with sales, present to customers if necessary
  • Help the sales team to achieve China/HK targets in the current challenging environment
  • Release the pressure from the local sales team, to take over all their NB activities for them to visit customers, to grow sales


To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Experience in Marine Industry (shipyard design, procurement team or field service)is required Min. 2years.
  • Ability to work in multicultural / international business environment
  • Self-driven, self-motivating, good communication skill & excellent team-work
  • Continuous learning ability
  • Willing to travel if required (30% of Working hours)
  • Knowledge on Sales Process & tools is a plus
  • Local legislation, contractual & Labour laws is a plus
  • Wartsila SLS technical product portfolio & system knowledge is a plus
  • Familiar with using of Microsoft WORD/ EXCEL/ PPT/ CRM / AUTOCAD / SAP
  • Bilingual in English & Chinese language
