Senior Technical Engineer, Sales

Wärtsilä Catalyst Systems product line is hiring a person to support sales and delivery activities in China. In China business is about marine SCR systems.


Your main responsibilities are

  • Support sales projects in Wärtsilä China and Joint Venture companies. First from technical perspective, later commercial side (offering) possible.
  • Find out the technical level of SCR systems Chinese shipyards need and local suppliers sell. Define that and communicate back to Product line in Finland. Aim: correct technical level for “a China product”.
  • Give product support and help in delivery projects issues


You will shine in this role when you have:

  • Independence and willingness to work in dynamic sales and product support work. You need to be creative and fast but also able to follow product rules.
  • Technical skills are required. You need to understand shipyards technical requirements and be able to tell our technical reasoning to them.
  • Marine business and shipbuilding understanding is a benefit
  • English, written and spoken
