Supplier Development Engineer

Your main responsibilities are
•    Monitor and analyse supplier performance and give guidance accordingly
•    Take ownership and action on quality, delivery and cost activities
•    Support suppliers with their operational efficiency, product improvement and development initiatives
•    Execute supplier audits and related follow-up according to supplier audit plan.
•    Act as a point of contact for suppliers with quality, delivery or technical problems

 

You will shine in this role when you have:
•    Minimum 5 years of experience working preferably in quality management or SCM including engineering roles with frequent contact at vendor site; 
•    Comprehensive product and process knowledge and experience in forging and machining manufacturing process, experience in big forging parts, knowledge on forging structure, forging material and process, forging equipment will be perceived as an advantage
•    Additionally, for you to succeed in the position, we hope you to have a strong solution-oriented approach, capability to implement, and the persistence to follow-up activities in order to ensure sustainability and quality.
•    Good knowledge of quality management and tools like APQP, FMEA, Lean Manufactory, 8D and Supplier Audit and so on, Furthermore, the ability to interpret and understand forging and mechanical drawings will be perceived as an advantage
•    Familiar with ISO 9001/ISO14001/ISO45001
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills and are capable of interfacing with numerous parties at all levels in a multicultural environment. Good communication and coordination skill, excellent English (both orally and written).
•    Familiar with analytical techniques commonly used to investigate component defects and ability to deal with administrative as well as technical tasks.
•    Individual must be self-driven and self-motivated to learn and use that knowledge to produce results
•    Able to trouble shoot and solve problems on the manufacturing line
•    Strong solution-oriented approach, capability to implement and persistency to follow-up activities to ensure sustainability and quality
•    Experience in SAP and reporting tools (PowerBI)
•    Value Stream Mapping (VSM) mindset
•    Willing to travel 30% of the time
