We are looking for a (Senior) Backend Software Engineer to join us in developing our Vessel Traffic Services offering and Port Optimization solutions. You will play a critical role in shaping the features, automation, and infrastructure for our products and customer-facing projects. This role offers the opportunity to be a part of a talented team, drive technical innovation, and make a significant impact in the maritime industry.

The main KPI for the drivers will be measured against project delivery timelines.

Cyber security has grown to be paramount for the success of our products. We recognize that this field will keep ever evolving and appreciate active participation and continuous improvement around this topic.

We act globally, from Americas to Europe, Singapore and Australia. We're looking for individuals who can work independently when required and are able to communicate asynchronously between sites. In practice, this means excellent communication and documentation skills.

The location for this permanent position is in Pandan Cresent, Singapore.

 What will you be doing:
As a (Senior) Backend Developer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Participate and lead in development efforts for Vessel Traffic System and Ports products and services.

• Develop new Products, Product increments and Prototypes.

• Participate in the design of software architecture centered around microservices, containerisation and integrations. Work on solutions that will scale and adapt to business needs both on the cloud and on prem.

• Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and methodologies and make proposals of benefits and costs to decision makers and watch as theory become practice.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through Agile methodologies to design and implement solutions for complex maritime challenges.

• Mentor the organization on development practices, sharing your knowledge and ensure that your own knowledge will propagate throughout the organization.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• 3~ 5 years solid experience with microservices.

• 3~ 5 years experience working with cloud solutions.

• Languages: C#, Python

• DB: SQL
