Senior Machinist

We are looking for a Senior Machinist. This is a permanent opportunity, and its location is Singapore.


What will you be doing:

  • Experience in operating conventional horizontal boring machine to machine oversize engine cylinder head valve pockets and other engine components.
  • Set up and operate boring machine to bore, drill, tap, spot face, groove, mill, or ream metal workpiece according to specification, tooling instruction, and drawing.
  • Having knowledge of boring procedures and machining methods. 
  • Able to read drawing and understand machining requirement. 
  • Knowing tooling instruction, for example fixture, feed rate, cutting speed, and cutting tool.
  • Observe machine operation and inspect machined workpiece to verify the machining result according to the required specification using calibrating instrument. 
  • Be responsible for completing assigned task in an efficient manner. 
  • Maintained a clean and well-organized work area.
  • Able to operate lathe or CNC machine is advantage.
  • Able to communicate in simple English to understand job requirement 
  • Able to work overtime and during Public Holiday

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a workshop mechanic. Preference will be given to candidates from marine engineering field.  
  • A good attitude with willingness to learn
