CNC Machinist

We are looking for a CNC Machinist. This is a permanent opportunity, and its location is Singapore.


What will you be doing as CNC Machinist? Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

1) Experience in operating and program CNC machine to machine oversize engine cylinder head valve pocket and other engine components.

2) Set up and operate CNC machine to bore, drill, tap, spot face, groove, mill, or ream metal workpiece according to specification, tooling instruction, and drawing.

3) Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines and procedures.

4) Able to read drawing and understand machining requirement.

5) Knowing tooling instruction, for example fixture, feed rate, cutting speed, and cutting tool.

6) Observe machine operation and inspect machined workpiece to verify the machining result according to the required specification using calibrating instrument.

7) Be responsible and independent for machining task in an efficient manner.

8) Maintained a clean and well-organized work area.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  1. 1-2 years experienced machinist preferably in the same relevant marine trade.
  2. Ability to operate Vertical turning lathe / Horizontal lathe (Manual or CNC) is advantage.
  3. In-house training will be provided
  4. Willingness to work in marine industry will be an added advantage
