About the Position:
This is a permanent opportunity, and preferred location for this position is Singapore.

 

What will you be doing:

As Contract Manager, Agreement Management, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Execute long term service contracts according to what is agreed with the customer, Wartsila’s procedures and general management practices in a safe and profitable way. 
  • Communicate actively with the customer and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Lead the collaboration with internal stakeholder to deliver what we are responsible for under the contract. Ensure consistent high-quality work from all stakeholders involved in the execution. 
  • Identify the contract risks and implement appropriate mitigating actions. Communicate internally, when required on actions you will take on important issues and if additional risks are identified.
  • Utilize IM tools, primarily Estimo, Salesforce and QlikView for financial planning and reporting. Implement new ways of working to improve the how we manage contracts and deliver on our commitments. Ensure the customer meets their obligations.
  • Prepare financial plans, forecasts and targets and monitor the KPI for each contract. Optimize assets such as inventories tied to the contract. 
  • Elicit customer feedback and prioritizes actions that will increase customer satisfaction. 
  • Create sales leads and upselling opportunities for the vessels under contract. 
  • Be an active member of the Capture Team to support agreement sales by ensuring accurate costing and risk identification at key stages of the sales process. 
  • Mobilization new contracts and demobilize contract when they expire. 

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Diploma or degree in engineering or in other related disciplines.
  • Good understanding of contracts, financial principles, and a strong business acumen.
  • structured and have a well-planned way of working with a focused and can-do attitude.
  • Good co-operation, teamwork, communication, and IT skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • 5 years working experience in the marine and offshore industry.
  • Good practical knowledge and understanding of marine engines and propulsion systems are a plus.
