In-situ Specialist

We are looking for experienced In-Situ Specialists for QuantiServ Singapore. QuantiServ offers specialised, fast and reliable support, maintenance and repair services for customers operating equipment by multiple brands, both in the marine and energy sectors. This position is a permanent opportunity, and its location is Singapore. You will be expected to have some experience of the following: 

 

  • Execution of in-situ machining assignments on board ships and in power plants and industrial plants world-wide.
  • Composing of technical reports and taking of measurement records and to update progress regularly to stakeholders.
  • Prepared to travel extensively and to be mindful of safety awareness while working on-site and in the workshop.
  • To be responsible for the highest possible customer satisfaction and to deliver high quality, accurate work while adhering to tight schedules.
  • To create and maintain a high-performance team and focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Knowing in-situ machining of crankpins or in-situ line boring of main bearing pockets or metal stitching or engine alignment will be an added advantage.
  • Any other tasks as and when assigned by the Line Manager or Management.

 

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • The knowledge and experience to be able to go for new job inspection and to be able to plan time and materials/tools/machines for the job to be done.
  • The willingness to travel overseas as and when required for jobs, often with very short notice.
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings and other technical documents to determine appropriate repair solutions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area daily and conduct machine / tool preventive maintenance as and when required.
  • To ensure the team and yourself adopt safe working processes and safe working approach at all times.
  • To continue to look for improvement to our methods and tools.
  • To learn and train in new services not known to you, by training under more senior colleagues
