Project Engineer (Digital Solutions), Voyage

We are looking for Project Engineer(Digital Solutions), Engineering & Support, MEA. This position is a permanent opportunity, and its location is Singapore.

What will you be doing: 

As Project Engineer(Digital Solutions), your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Delivering modern IT solutions for marine ports, which involves HW/SW installation, participating in FAT/HAT/SAT and commissioning, as well as supervising local subcontractors and suppliers.
• Preparing and reviewing project technical specifications, system design drawings, and scope of supply.
• Identifying and evaluating technical solutions, preferred models, and vendors for 3rd party equipment within the scope of supply.
• Providing customer support via email, phone, and on-site visits.
• Conducting quality control of completed work.
• Adhering to internal company and functional policies and procedures

In order to excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who have the following qualifications and skills:

• BSc in IT/Radio engineering and/or relevant IT/Electronics/CAD certification
• Proficiency in computer and IT skills, preferably with knowledge of Microsoft and Cisco systems
• Strong troubleshooting and technical skills, as well as the ability to envision solutions and plan both personal and subordinate tasks
• At least 1 year of apprenticeship or work experience in a similar role
• A keen interest in modern PC hardware/software, virtualisation, and networks
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
   

An additonal advantage for the candidate would be:

• Cisco CCNA certification or better
• MCSA certification
• Knowledge in RADAR, VHF, AIS, ECDIS, GMDSS
