QEHS Engineer

Wärtsilä will be providing staff for a shared O&M 145 MW power plant in Myanmar based on the W18V50SG gas engines. Hence, we have an open vacancy for QEHS Engineer.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure product/process QEHS by implementing/utilizing quality system.
  • Typical responsibility areas are e.g. EHS, quality assurance, quality planning, quality control, quality improvement, product classification/ certification.
  • Ensure that necessary procedures are developed and maintained to fulfil internal requirements (e.g. specifications an drawings) and external requirements (e.g. customer, supplier).
  • Perform detailed analyses and inspections.
  • Review/evaluate current local methods, procedures and systems and recommend changes that will improve the quality of the products, productivity or EHS performance.
  • Evaluate data and identify recurring problems to define necessary preventive actions.
  • Ensure that corrections and corrective actions are defined and implemented for quality non-conformities.
  • Educate and train local operational organization to ensure that quality procedures and standards are understood and complied.
  • Participate in internal audits as a lead auditor.
  • Ensure that QEHS statutory and regulatory requirements are implemented locally.
  • Lead assigned projects.
  • Manage component/product classification/certificate process.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
  • Mininumum of three years' experience
  • Familiar with QEHS local statutory and regulatory requirements
