Nacos Marine Singapore is now looking for a Service Engineer who is skilled in Automation products to join our Customer Delivery team in Singapore.

 This is a permanent opportunity, and the possible location is Singapore.


What will you be doing
As a Service Engineer, Automation, your work will focus on these responsibilities.

  • Attending ships in terminal, anchorage, shipyard for repair, installation, troubleshooting services.
  • Reporting and documentation as per company procedures (E.g. Update of Software, database, etc.).
  • Making completion of technical and service work report in a timely manner.
  • Conduct fault-finding process and resolve the technical issue onboard as appropriate.
  • Providing technical support both onsite and remotely for Wärtsilä Voyage Solutions product to the customer.
  • Providing support to coordinators.
  • Ensuring that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
  • Ad-hoc duties as assigned by manager.
     

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Diploma in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering or related field with at least three years of relevant experience
  • Experience in programming, commissioning and service of Marine Automation PLC systems.
  • Experience in the hardware and software for the Automation system, PLC programming (ladder diagram) logic, Moxa switches and control system.
  • Experience with industrial network and serial interface protocols such as Modbus and Can Bus.
  • Excellent product knowledge in Automation (Engine Governor, Manoeuvring) System.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel upon request.
