Service Engineer, Shaft Line Solutions

We are now looking for a Service Engineer, Shaft Line Solutions to join our team, Field Service MEA. The position is a permanent opportunity. The preferred location for the position is in Singapore.


What will you be doing:
As an Service Engineer, Shaft Line Solutions, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan.
  • Perform overhauls and repairs of Wartsila products (Stern tube Seals and Bearings) on site and/or in the workshops.
  • Interact professionally with customers during the work execution.
  • Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work.
  • Create the Service Work Reports.
  • Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
  • Ensure that the work is executed according to QSHE guidelines and site procedures and policies
  • Follow-up and report on the status of work orders to customer and/or internal stakeholders.
  • Continuously seek for solutions in according to best practices.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Mechanical knowledge in propulsion equipment
  • Self -motivated, analytical & Fault-finding skills
  • A team player with a positive mindset & ability to adapt / work in a challenging environment
  • Good written & communication skill
  • Diploma or NITEC in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 2 year working experience in related field
