Service Engineer, Tank Control Systems

We are looking for a Service Engineer to join the Tank Control Systems (TCS) team in Singapore. Wärtsilä Tank Control Systems design, manufacture and supply tank level equipment for marine and land installations. We offer tank gauging solution to measuring level, temperature and density for LNG & LPG storages. Our solution offering includes project management, field service and lifecycle support of customer installations. The TCS Unit in Singapore is a production facility for Whessoe brand marine gauging products and Field Service resources for Asia.


This is a permanent opportunity and its location is Singapore.


What will you be doing:
As Service Engineer (Tank Control Systems), your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Perform commissioning work, trouble shooting and rectification work for marine and land gauging systems
  • Carry out production supervision, quality inspection and factory acceptance test
  • Prepare and submission of test and ATEX compliance report to classification societies and project management team
  • Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.


To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Hold at least a Diploma in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering or related field with at least three years of working experience in offshore or marine related activities
  • Be able to understand and interpret circuitry diagram
  • Have good trouble shooting skills pertaining to electrical and electronic circuitry
  • Possess good communication and teamwork skills and is fluent in English
  • Be an enthusiastic individual who can independently perform repair works
  • Be able to travel for overseas assignments
  • Experience in tank measuring system an added advantage
