Wärtsilä Singapore is looking for 2 Service Technicians, to join our dynamic, fast-paced 4-Stroke Field Service team for within the Marine Business. This is a permanent opportunity, and its location is Singapore.

Your role and responsibilities 

As a Service Technician your work will include maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting of mechanical system related to our products or representatives’ brands.

Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:

• To assist Supt/ Senior/Engineer to perform engine overhaul work onboard vessel in accordance with the given instructions and schedule.
• Perform overhauls and repairs onboard vessel, in shipyard or voyage as when required.
• Perform supporting work (e.g. cleaning, lifting, shifting, dismantling & protecting components) during of overhaul process.
• Be responsible for completing assigned task in an efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
• Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.

Requirements for the position 

• Minimum O-level or ITE Certification with marine diesel engine knowledge.
• Minimum 1 years of experience or knowledge of marine diesel engine.
• Knowledge on workplace safety, work tools and on engine mechanics theory/works.
• Ability to handle work professionally, independently, and efficiently.
• Ability to travel overseas when required.
• Valid class 3 driving license is an advantage.
• Able to work overtime and during Public Holiday.
