Technical Expert, Recon Workshop

We are looking for a Technical Expert for our Recon Workshop. This is a permanent opportunity, and its location is Singapore. The requirements are as follows.

 

  • Performs specialized technical tasks within workshop operations, ensuring high-quality service and efficient workshop processes.
  • Executes specialized technical tasks in workshop operations, adhering to quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with cross-functional teams to enhance workshop operations and service delivery.
  • Contributes to the development and improvement of workshop processes, practices, and systems.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of workshop best practices and industry standards, applying this knowledge to daily operations.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to team members, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing. 
  • Diagnose and repair damaged propellers using advanced techniques such as welding, balancing, and re-pitching.
  • Recondition propellers to meet or exceed original specifications, ensuring optimal performance and durability.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand specific requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and materials in propeller repair, such as laser cladding and advanced alloys.
  • Train and mentor team members in best practices for propeller maintenance and reconditioning.
  • Maintain detailed records of repair and reconditioning processes for quality assurance and compliance.
  • Visit sites when deeper product, system and/or performance analysis is needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
  • Ensure the implementation of the processes and tools according to business as well as Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines.
  • Work in close cooperation with other Technical Service teams in the region and in the product companies
