Sales Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced, full-time Sales Manager to join our skilled team in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

The candidate is expected to have a deep desire to work in our dynamic and fast-paced team of professionals.

As Sales Manager your work will focus on:


  • Sales& Business development for achieving sales targets for the Wartsila Marine Power product portfolio from New Builds
  • Generation of sales based on customers request by evaluating inquire and registering/ maintaining opportunity information.
  • Development, reporting and obtaining accountability for sales and sold margin budget among assigned customer accounts
  • Visiting Customers based on a weekly planning activities
  • Maintain and further development present assigned customer relationships New Builds
  • Identification and development of relationships with new and potential customers from New Builds point of view
  • Creation account plans for major customers, execute the plan and update changes throughout the year
  • Development and maintenance customer satisfaction
  • Collection and communication market intelligence and competitor information
  • Proposal customer specific budgets based on historical data, market outlook, identified opportunities and strategy
  • Creation, maintain and management all customer visit reports and larger opportunities in CRM 
  • Maintain accurate customer records among assigned customer accounts.
  • Management and avoiding due receivables and informs accounting regarding issues and actions taken.
  • Cooperation and coordination sales activities for global or cross country operating customer with responsible colleagues

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:


  • Native Russian with fluent English (written and oral)
  • Bachelor degree or above in marine engineering or mechanical engineering related ( preferable)
  • 5 + years working experience in related field
  • Cultural knowledge and bridging the gaps between different cultures
  • Negotiation and strong communication skills
  • Contractual and legal skills
  • Knowledge of Persuasive selling, Sales process and tools
  • Technical product portfolio knowledge
  • Understanding business environment, customer and its business
  • Understanding sales financials
  • Problem solving and decision making skills
