Senior C++ developer

UNINAV Planner team develops UNINAV Planner (or Navi Planner 5000). This is the new onboard tool for voyage planning, charts and publications ordering and weather optimization.

Our product is a key element of FOS and We are now looking for a Senior C++ developer to join our passionate professional team. The position is permanent. The preferred location for the position is in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
There are 2 parts in the product: Web and Desktop. You will take part in the Desktop's part development where the base is the route planning application “Planner”.


To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • Deep and good knowledge of C++. Usually, we need development experience 5+ years, but we can discuss less experienced candidates with good skills. Design patterns
  • actual C++ standards
  • STL
  • Boost

 

In addition, as an ideal candidate you have:


⦁    Cross-platform development skills (we release Windows products currently, but changes are possible and product core is crossplatform)
⦁    Good experience in multithreading
⦁    OpenGL knowledge.
⦁    Qt skills (we use Qt only in UI, not in backend)
⦁    Skills of Windows Installer package development and support.

 

For effective communications you need native Russian and at least Intermediate English.

We use SCRUM, and you will be the part of SCRUM team focused on our product. We use git repository (migration from Bitbucket to Github is in progress), pre-commit code review, build server based on Jenkins, JIRA as backtracking, task management and project management tool.
