We are currently seeking an experienced, full-time Service Engineer to join our skilled team in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. The candidate is expected to have deep experience in international engines Service Company.
In this position, you will perform Mechanical and automation maintenance and trouble shooting on Wartsila products or similar medium bore diesel and gas engines. You will not be working on this alone, as you will have the support from the team of professionals.
As Service Engineer your work will focus on these main responsibilities: 

  • Overhaul engine components at site/on board and in workshop.
  • Carry out engine product trouble shooting, routine maintenance & components investigation.
  • Check and adjust relevant systems (i.e. auxiliary equipment).
  • Prepare Service reports and travel expense reports on time and with expected Wartsila quality.
  • Identify failures, making adjustments, assist on trial runs and testing of Mechanical installations according to instructions.
  • Provide internal and external work reports according to Wärtsilä standards. Perform site audits.
  • Collect and organize time and expense reports. Reporting and informing administrative personnel as required.
  • Perform executed work reports, according to Wärtsilä standards.


To be successful in this role, we expect you to have

  • High School Diploma/Technical (preferably Marine, Mechanical)
  • 2+ years working experience as 

            Field Service engineer (Mech) in engines Service Company;

           Mechanical engineer on Wartsila Diesel Engine;

           Mechanical or Automation personnel on Wartsila Power Plants;

           Mechanical engineer on Ships with Wartsila engines;

           English language (B1) with special terminology.


We will be amazed if you also have some of the following optional experience:

  • Knowledge of diesel and gas engines
  • Product knowledge
  • PC Knowledge
