Electrical Engineer

We are now looking to strengthen our team with a new Electrical Engineer. 


As an Electrical Engineer you will be a part of the development of environmental technologies required to make the shipping industry more sustainable.

This area of expertise is rapidly growing and will give you exciting opportunities and the possibility to influence future developments.
Wärtsilä is aiming to support our customers on their decarbonisation journey towards a more sustainable future in the marine and energy industry

and have committed to finding solutions enabling the use of zero-carbon fuel before 2030.


We want to be a contributor towards achieving the sustainability goals and have set the requirements of reducing our own CO2 emissions by 20% in 2023.
Our customers within the maritime and offshore industry are supplied with complex energy systems during this journey, and Wärtsilä assists them with

supplying both conventional propulsion systems as well as battery and hybrid systems with high power and low pollution.


Our preferred candidate has a broad electrical understanding and is curious about new technology. We are looking for someone who has a desire to join us on our decarbonisation journey.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or Norwegian professional degree) within electrical engineering
  • Good knowledge regarding electrical construction 
  • Experience with electrical construction programmes, e.g. Comos , Autocad, Elsa, Inventor, PLS, E-Plan, Teamsenter, SAP, Codesys, Gempro, Vision control program
  • Knowledge and interest in maritime facilities
  • Knowledge of electrical board building
  • Integrator knowledge

You will be working in a team with broad experience and competence in areas such as electricity, electronics, and automation. We deliver complete systems with electrical panels, rotating machines, drives, AVR, UPS, testing and documentation.
