We are looking for a Manager, Electrical Systems & Integration within the product line Electric Propulsion Systems in the Ship Electrification Solutions organization.

The preferred location for this position is Stord, Norway.

Your role and responsibilities 

In this position you are accountable for the operational and life cycle activities for your products. Globally the environmental regulatory and efficiency agenda continues to accelerate, and you will play a vital role adopting to customer and market demands trough-out your organization, agile developing and adopting our business to future demands and expectations. With increased importance of electric, hybrid, zero-emission and renewable solutions, herewith fast technology development combined with flexible energy management and system integration solutions, the organization is well equipped to comply with customers’ expectations and our decarbonisation vision. In this position you are reporting to General Manager Electric Propulsion Systems.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead the Electrical Systems & Integration team focusing on product improvement and contributing to profitable growth across the full lifecycle.
• Follow up cost, operative and technical performance through product and system reviews and take corrective actions.
• Support proactively on improving business processes.
• Encourage communication and collaboration across all business functions and empower the team to learn and grow.
• Focus on customer needs, team member support and development to drive success;
• Expected to develop and maintain strong relationship with external and internal stakeholders.

The below will enable you to shine in this role:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. or equivalent 4+ years of experience leading a professional team with record of successfully delivering complex products and services is seen as an advantage.
• Preferably a technical background as engineer, project manager or similar within a relevant field.
• Excellent communication skills (written, orally, listening and presenting).
• Curious and courageous; you're able to take smart risks and make tough decisions when needed.
• Adaptable and embracing change; you are leading by example and setting the bar high.
• Coaching and continuously developing; you are passionate about developing the business, your team and yourself.
• Very good English skills (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel around the world.

We expect you to have:

• Experience and track record in management roles and a strong business acumen.
• Interpersonal skills including ability to develop and maintain effective relationship.
• Demonstrated experience attracting, managing, developing, coaching, evaluating and retaining employees.
• Cultural sensitivity and experience working across geographically disbursed teams.
