For our SES (Ship Electrification Solutions) Field Service team in Wärtsilä in Norway, we are currently looking for a Service Coordinator for our increasing amount of service jobs within our Electro and Automation portfolio. The position is located in Stord, Norway.
What you will be doing
As a Service Coordinator, you will be on the front line of our decarbonization journey. You will be a vital member of a global team coordinating service activities connected to our products/system deliveries and to our installed base service support. You ensure that we meet the targets of field service works related to planning, execution, quality, and HSE. You follow up on the individual Field Service jobs from start to end, including any reporting and financial follow-up. In addition, you will contribute to the development of HSE processes, methodology, tools, competency, working methods and routines to secure stakeholder’s satisfaction and to secure Wärtsilä defined targets. You will also update the various computerized tools being used for field service management and reporting on a continuous basis.
The role entails responsibility for the planning of field service jobs and projects ensuring the quality of the job preparations and subsequently controlling the field service works execution. You will focus on execution to ensure the completion of the field service works; to be on time and within the agreed budget and strategy. You are a strong team player and thrive working in a hectic and energetic environment.
For us to be the best match, it is preferable with previous experience as a service coordinator and/or project coordination/management within the marine industry or similar. However, your willingness and eagerness to learn, positive mindset, and can-do attitude is something we value highly. As an ideal candidate, you have a relevant technical education or education within economics, business, or similar and it is an advantage to be familiar with electrical & automation products and operations. You have good communication skills as you will communicate internally and externally, and you are also capable of working in different environments. The position also requires that you are structured.
As a Service Coordinator, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Coordinate service activities for product/system deliveries and installed base support as part of a global team.
- Ensure targets for planning, execution, quality, and HSE in field service works are met.
- Oversee field service jobs from start to finish, including reporting and financial follow-up.
- Contribute to the development of HSE processes, tools, competency, and working methods.
- Continuously update computerized tools for field service management and reporting.
- Plan and control field service jobs and projects, ensuring quality preparations and execution.
- Focus on completing field service works on time and within budget and strategy.
You will shine in this role, when you have:
- Technical education or education within economics, business or similar
- Preferable with previous experience as service coordinator and/or project coordination/management within marine industry or similar.
- It is an advantage to be familiar with electrical & automation products and operations.
- Good communication skills in English and Norwegian, written and spoken.
- Norwegian passport and driver’s license.
In this role, most of the meetings are held virtually but some travel may occur occasionally.
