Service Engineer / Superintendent

We are now looking for a Service Engineer / Superintendent  to join our team. 


The location for the position is in Stord, Norway.

 

What you will be doing 

 

In this position you will perform and- or lead work related to testing, commissioning, service/troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical and automation systems as well as preparing reports and documentation, for our customers worldwide.

Therefore, you must have the skills needed to interact with our customers, partners, and colleagues. Our preferred candidate should also have the ability to make decisions, work independently, and be service-minded. Additionally, you need to be structured, understand problems, and be able to solve them.
The title for the position will be Service Engineer or Superintendent  based on the chosen candidate’s experience.


To be successful in this role we expect you to have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Automation or Technical School in the field
  • Vocational certificates within the field and/or documented and relevant experience can compensate for formal education
  • Good knowledge of PMS/EMS (Power/Energy Management System), battery systems, frequency converters, electrical switchboards PLSs, process systems, LNG systems, and HMI systems
  • Experience working with Wärtsilä's products and systems is an advantage.
  • Experience related to start-up and maintenance of electro-automation systems both offshore and on marine installations
  • Experience with the preparation of reports and documentation
  • Experience with international work and travel activity

 

Requirements:

 

  • Health declaration offshore and for seafarers
  • Good Norwegian and English knowledge both written and verbally
  • Norwegian driver's license
  • Residence in Norway
