Special Applications Learning & Development Specialist

We are now looking for a Special Applications Learning & Development Specialist to join our Wartsila Special Application team. The position is permanent. The location for the position is in Surgeres, France


What will you be doing

In this position, your work will include the Management of the Resource Coordinator and the development of learning and training plan for the Wartsila Special Application. On a typical day, you might be starting with the analyses of the mandatory training and end the day with the planification of it with the suppliers and Secure the availability of the personnel with the Resources Coordinator. You will report to the Operations Manager and not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support from the Field Services and Workshop manager.

For us to be the best match, we expect you to have a rigor and a customer mindset, understanding in project management and experience from working with Humane resources.


As Special Applications Learning & Development Specialist, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Manage the Resources Coordinator and secure the availabilities of the competences.
  • Responsible of the management of the skills and the planification.
  • Create and update the catalog of Special Applications training which groups together all types of training provided within the scope (compulsory, development, certifying)
  • Develop, monitor, and implement the development and mandatory training plan
  • With the Resources Coordinator, You will plan training accordingly
  • Set up an evaluation system for development training and analyses the result and propose improvement solution.
  • Manage the employee integration process and ensure that these mandatory training courses are provided before taking up their position.
  • Monitor reforms training and training systems accessible to employees (CPF, VAE)
  • Be the WeLearn& Horoquartz key user for Special Application.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • A Master Degree
  • 3-5 Years Experiences
  • Pack Office Level Advanced
  • Sap Level Beginner

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
