Methods Engineer

 

We are now looking for a Methods Engineer to join our team. The Special Applications (SA) business is dedicated to the maintenance of the ultimate assistance engine for the power plant and also for the French military “Leclerc battle tank” engine.

 

Part of the Operations department and based in the Surgères production workshop, you will reporting to the Methods and Maintenance Manager and integrated into a team of around 10 people.

 

This position is offered on a permanent basis and the successful candidate will be located in Surgères, France.

 

What will you be doing?

 

As a Methods Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

•  Actively support the production workshop in the accomplishment and development of operations, as well as in its overall approach of continuous improvement (operational excellence)
•  Be the Methods referent for a defined activity sector of the production workshop (reconditioning of diesel engines or sub-assemblies). As a privileged interlocutor, you are in daily contact with production teams and will assume this role over the entire scope of responsibilities of the Methods department (documentation, tools, equipment, continuous improvement)
•  Know how to observe and analyze current processes in order to identify and implement opportunities for improvement and modernization (investment in equipment, tool design, document development, workstation ergonomics)
•  Ensure a follow-up of the existing documentation base in order to ensure the good adequacy of the Methods documents with the technical evolutions and qualities
•  Support employees in the application of procedures as well as in the use of new digital tools within the Methods scope (dematerialization of documentation, html browser, connected tools)
•  Know how to draw up specifications, carry out a costed study and manage subcontractors
•  Pay attention to compliance with regulations and the compliance of equipment and tools managed by the Methods department
•  Actively collaborate in the daily tasks of the Methods department

 

Your work will also include the below secondary responsibilities:

•  Computer-aided mechanical design (tools)
•  Writing and monitoring of job descriptions
•  Conducting meetings


 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to: 

•  Have a General engineer degree in industrial systems or an equivalent experience

•  Grant experience in mechanical industry methods, project management, dimensional control and digital and IT systems.

•  Have basic technical knowledge in the mechanics field

•  Be fluent in French and English, spoken and written (including technical terminology)

•  Be a team player

•  Have good communication skills, willing to teach others

•  Grant good analytical skills

•  Easily adapt to change

•  Be confortable with IT tools

L’entité Special Applications (SA), est dédiée aux Services complets des équipements pouvant aller jusqu’au reconditionnement des moteurs de secours pour certaines centrales nucléaires dans le monde et celui des moteurs du char Leclerc pour l’armée française. 

 

Nous recrutons en CDI sur notre site de Surgères un Ingénieur Méthodes (H/F). Rattaché à l’entité Operations Special applications et basé au sein de l’atelier de production de Surgères, vous serez rattaché au Manager Méthodes et Maintenance et intégré au sein d’une équipe d’environ 10 personnes.
 

Missions principales:

 

En tant qu'ingénieur méthodes, vos principales missions sont les suivantes:

 

•    Supporter activement l’atelier de production dans l'accomplissement et le développement des opérations, ainsi que dans sa démarche globale d’amélioration continue (operational excellence).
•    Être le référent Méthodes pour un secteur d'activité défini de l'atelier de production (reconditionnement de moteur diesel ou de sous-ensembles).
En tant qu'interlocuteur privilégié, vous êtes quotidiennement au contact des équipes de production et assurerez ce rôle sur l’ensemble du périmètre de responsabilités du service Méthodes (documentation, outillages, équipements, amélioration continue).
•    Savoir observer et analyser les procédés actuels afin d'identifier et mettre en œuvre des opportunités d'amélioration et de modernisation (investissement en équipement, conception d’outillage, évolution documentaire, ergonomie des postes).
•    Assurer un suivi de la base documentaire existante afin de veiller à la bonne adéquation des documents Méthodes avec les évolutions techniques et qualités.
•    Accompagner les collaborateurs dans l'application des procédés ainsi que dans l’utilisation des nouveaux outils digitaux du périmètre Méthodes (dématérialisation de la documentation, navigateur html, outillages connectés).
•    Savoir élaborer un cahier des charges, réaliser une étude chiffrée et piloter des intervenants en sous-traitance.
•    Se soucier du respect de la règlementation et de la conformité des équipements et outillages gérés par le service Méthodes.
•    Collaborer activement aux tâches quotidiennes du service Méthodes.

 

Missions secondaires :

 

•    Conception mécanique assistée par ordinateur (outillage).
•    Rédaction et suivi de fiches de poste.
•    Animation de réunion.


Expérience requise:

 

Ingénieur généraliste en systèmes industriels ou expérience équivalente.

Expérience en méthodes industrie mécanique, gestion de projet, contrôle dimensionnel, systèmes digitaux et informatiques.
Vous possédez un bon esprit d’analyse et vous adaptez facilement au changement. Vous avez des connaissances techniques de base en mécanique.

Vous maitrisez la langue anglaise (écrit, parlé, termes techniques) ainsi que l'outil informatique.
Vous êtes bon communicant et aimez le travail en collaboration.
