Methods Technician

Wärtsilä France is a service company specialized in energy solutions, after-sales service on gas and diesel engines, automation and propulsion.Our company today employs 450 employees in France, for clients based around the world.

 

The Special Applications (SA) entity is dedicated to global equipment services which can include the reconditioning of emergency engines for certain nuclear power plants around the world and also the Leclerc battle tank engines for the French army.

 

Attached to the Operations Special Applications entity and based in the Surgères production workshop, you will report to the Methods Manager and integrated into a team of around 10 people.

Methods Technician Special Applications

 

to join our team working for a better future. 

 

The preferred location for the position is in Surgères, France. 

 

What you will be doing 

 

Support the production workshop in the completion and development of operations, as well as in its overall approach to continuous improvement, by providing the necessary material resources and work instructions.

 

As Methods Technician Special Applications your work will focus on these responsibilities: 

 

  • Write and update work instructions, operating procedures, report documents and workstation descriptions both for workshop and field service.
  • Ensure the traceability and distribution of documents and support users in their implementation.
  • Ensure the availability, monitoring and compliance of specific and conventional tools used at workshop workstations.
  • Collaborate in projects to improve workstations in terms of safety, ergonomics, quality or productivity (examples: tools, layout, process equipment and machines).
  • Collaborate in the application and development of continuous improvement tools (examples: 5S, visual management).
  • Collaborate daily cross-functionally with Managers and employees of the production workshop and field service team, as well as employees of other support services (examples: technical, quality, logistics, purchasing and HSE).
  • Participate in work meetings.
  • Discuss technical matters with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Follow the annual objectives defined during the individual interview (Development Discussion).
  • Short one-off business trips could happen for field service team purpose.


To be successful in this role we expect you to have: 

 

  • Bac +2 in industrials/mecanicals sectors or equivalent acquired professional experience
  • 3 years experience at least in the Industrie in Methods or Production
  • Experience in Project management
  • Professional knowledge of Industrial/mechanical drawing,
  • Intermediate level/practice of English
  • Knowledge of MS office and SAP
  • Adapt to change
  • Continuous improvement

pour rejoindre notre équipe à Surgères, France. 
 
Que ferez-vous 

 

Supporter l’atelier de production dans l’accomplissement et le développement des opérations, ainsi que dans sa démarche globale d’amélioration continue, par la mise à disposition des moyens matériels et des instructions de travail nécessaires.
 
Votre travail se concentrer sur les responsabilités suivantes: 

 

  • Rédiger et mettre à jour les instructions de travail, les procédures opérationnelles, les rapports et les descriptions de postes à la fois pour l'atelier et le service sur site.
  • Assurer la traçabilité et la distribution des documents et soutenir les utilisateurs dans leur mise en œuvre.
  • Garantir la disponibilité, le suivi et la conformité des outils spécifiques et conventionnels utilisés aux postes de travail de l'atelier.
  • Collaborer aux projets visant à améliorer les postes de travail en termes de sécurité, d'ergonomie, de qualité ou de productivité (exemples : outils, disposition, équipements et machines).
  • Participer à l'application et au développement d'outils d'amélioration continue (exemples : 5S, gestion visuelle).
  • Collaborer quotidiennement de manière transversale avec les responsables et les employés de l'atelier de production et de l'équipe de service sur site, ainsi qu'avec les employés d'autres services de support (exemples : technique, qualité, logistique, achats et HSE).
  • Participer aux réunions de travail.
  • Discuter des questions techniques avec les fournisseurs et les sous-traitants.
  • Suivre les objectifs annuels définis lors de l'entretien individuel (Discussion de Développement).
  • Des déplacements professionnels ponctuels pourraient avoir lieu dans le cadre des activités de l'équipe de field service.

 
Pour réussir dans ce rôle, nous attendons de vous:   

 

  • Bac +2 en domaines industriels/mécanique (ex : BTS, DUT, BUT…) ou expérience acquise équivalente
  • Au moins 3 ans d’expérience dans l’industrie en Méthodes ou Production
  • Gestion de projet experience
  • Experience en Dessin industriel/lecture de plan mécanique
  • Pratique de l’anglais niveau intermédiaire
  • Experience en Pack office windows et SAP
  • facilement au changement 
  • Amélioration continue
