We are recruiting an

 

Obsolescence Project Engineer

 

for permanent contract at our Surgères site (150 employees), which specializes in the reconditioning of high-speed engines serving as emergency diesel generator to Nuclear power Plants worldwide.

 

What you will be doing 


As a member of the Obsolescence Project department, you are a key player in the Project Team. The Project Engineer is responsible for driving several significant projects, from initialization to closure, consisting in solving obsolescence cases for our Nuclear Customers worldwide.

 

Your main activities will be to:

 

  • Manage end to end projects consisting in the resolution of major obsolescence cases on engine parts,
  • Analyze and implement the purchase orders for obsolescence resolution placed by our Nuclear Customers,
  • Drive kick-off meetings,
  • Setup the projects planning in accordance with Customer requirements and in cooperation with the project stakeholders (Project Purchaser, Project Engineer, Expert Quality Supplier Project, Technical Service),
  • Closely monitor projects to ensure the progress towards the targets (in time, in cost, in quality),
  • Act as the focal point for internal stakeholders to prevent lags in planning (Technical Service, Qualification Department, Project Management, Supply, Contract Management team, Sales),
  • Monitor the execution of the validation and qualification plans,
  • Coordinate the project resources in order to ensure that the deliverables are remitted in due time,
  • Regularly communicate the project progress to stakeholders,
  • Setup recovery plans as soon as the situation requires,
  • Report the projects progress, blocking points and deviations to the obsolescence projects manager,
  • Participate in meetings with Customers to share the projects progress,
  • Work in close cooperation with the Project Buyer to ensure that the requirements are properly cascaded, understood and implemented by our suppliers,
  • Support Sales Department to build offers for obsolescence resolutions to our Customers,
  • Collect necessary inputs to enable the Obsolescence Engineer to build the validation plan,
  • Drive the projects closure and properly manage the handover to ensure a smooth transition from the Project Obsolescence Team to the teams that will be dealing with the product life cycle.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have the following skills:

 

  • 5 years' higher education in Engineering,
  • proven 5 years experience in project management in an industrial environment,
  • excellent analytical and summarizing skills,
  • knowledge in manufacturing processes,
  • your autonomy, rigour and organisation skills are key assets to feel at ease in this position,
  • proven ability to lead a project team,
  • excellent communication skills and ability to develop relationship,
  • good level of English (written and spoken),
  • at ease with MS Project, Pack Office, and ideally SAP,
  • able to put forward suggestions for improving existing operating methods,
  • you show values and rigor to work in Nuclear environment and related processes,
  • available to travel (20%).

Ce que vous ferez


En tant que membre du département Projet Obsolescence, vous êtes un acteur clé de l'équipe projet. Le Chef de  Projet est responsable de la conduite de plusieurs projets significatifs, de l'initialisation à la clôture, consistant à résoudre des cas d'obsolescence pour nos clients nucléaires.

 

Vos principales activités seront de :

 

  • Gérer des projets de bout en bout permettant la résolution de cas majeurs d'obsolescence sur des pièces de moteur,
  • Analyser et piloter les commandes de résolution d'obsolescence passées par nos clients nucléaires,
  • Piloter les réunions de lancement,
  • Mettre en place la planification des projets conformément aux exigences des clients et en coopération avec les parties prenantes du projet (Acheteur Projet, Ingénieur Projet, Expert Qualité Fournisseur Projet, Service Technique, Atelier),
  • Assurer la conduite des projets avec le but d’atteindre les objectifs en temps, en coût et en qualité,
  • Agir en tant que point focal pour les parties prenantes internes afin de prévenir les retards (Service Technique, Département Qualification, Gestion de Projet, Approvisionnement, Contrats, Ventes),
  • Suivre l'exécution des plans de validation et de qualification,
  • Coordonner les ressources du projet afin de garantir que les livrables sont remis en temps voulu,
  • Communiquer régulièrement l'avancement du projet aux parties prenantes,
  • Mettre en place des plans d’actions de rattrapage dès lors que la situation l'exige (déviation en temps, coût, qualité vs. objectifs),
  • Rapporter l'avancement des projets, les points de blocage et les déviations au responsable de service,
  • Participer aux réunions avec les clients pour partager l'avancement des projets,
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec l'Acheteur Projet pour s'assurer que les exigences sont correctement transmises, comprises et mises en œuvre par nos fournisseurs,
  • Assister le Département Commercial dans l’élaboration des offres de résolution d'obsolescence pour nos clients,
  • Collecter les informations nécessaires pour permettre à l'Ingénieur Obsolescence de construire le plan de validation,
  • Conduire la clôture des projets et gérer le transfert pour assurer une transition fluide de l'équipe Projet Obsolescence aux équipes qui géreront la suite du cycle de vie du produit.

 

Pour réussir dans ce rôle, nous attendons de vous:

 

  • Diplomé.e d’une Ecole d’Ingénieur Mécanique,
  • 5 ans d'expérience avérée en gestion de projets dans un environnement industriel,
  • Excellentes compétences d’analyse et de synthèse,
  • Connaissance des processus de fabrication de pièces mécaniques,
  • Votre autonomie, votre rigueur et vos compétences organisationnelles sont des atouts clés pour réussir dans ce poste,
  • Capacité avérée à piloter une équipe projet,
  • Excellente communication et capacité à développer des relations,
  • Bon niveau d'anglais (écrit et parlé),
  • À l'aise avec MS Project, Pack Office, et idéalement SAP,
  • Capacité à proposer des améliorations des méthodes de fonctionnement,
  • Valeurs et rigueur pour travailler dans un environnement nucléaire dans le respect des processus associés,
  • Disponible pour voyager (20% du temps).
