Due to the increase of activities with American customer, we need to reinforce our contract team to manage the engines & sub-assemblies refurbishments (CGD Project). 

 

We are now looking for a new 

 

Contract/Project Engineer (H/F). 

 

The position is permanent and the preferred location for the position is in France, at Surgeres office.

In this position you will be responsible for all technical & engineering aspects of the assigned projects and will be reporting to the Contract Manager within our “Special Application” entity.
 
As Contract/Project Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned technical projects to deliver a successful project outcome that is fit for purpose, and to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
  • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements. 
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, etc.) and report regularly on project status.
  • Assign responsibilities and mentor project team. 
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with other project participants (workshop, procurement, sales, technical department, quality) to successfully carry out its projects (diesel engines refurbishment and their dedicated sub-assemblies)
  • Review deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions

 
To be successful in this role, we expect you to:
 

  • Have strong Project Management skills and experience
  • Have strong business and customer focus
  • Have excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
  • Have demonstrable negotiation and influencing experience
  • Have good understanding of budgeting and strategic planning
  • Have strong organizational skills
  • Be fluent in French and English,
  • Have 3+ years of experience as project/contract manager
  • Have a Master Degree in Project Management / Engineering

 

In this role some travel is required around the world.
