STRATEGIC PURCHASING MANAGER DEPUTY
We are now looking for a
Strategic Purchaser Manager Deputy
to co-lead our initiatives as senior supply management expert within our team of about ten Strategic Purchasers in charge from different locations of our whole qualified suppliers base used for Special Applications (Military and Nuclear engines spare parts & services).
Ambition plan is to take over from the current S.P. team Manager in anticipation of his coming retirement plan, allowing about 2 years induction & growing role before potentially taking over full managerial unique role.
The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Surgères (France), or Mulhouse (France).
As Strategic Purchaser Manager Deputy, your daily work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Lead main roadmap initiatives within balanced role distribution with management in place.
- Participate in defining supply management strategy or business strategy.
- Monitor & develop actions plan for supply management activities performance incl. focus on quality, lead time and comprehensive cost.
- Elaborate KPi and maintain proper follow-up & continuous improvement initiatives incl. leaner workflow potentials, and communicate on results in defined area of responsibility.
- Coach and develop Strategic Purchasers in daily work in reference to agreed main roadmap.
- Secure knowhow and professional competence development within assigned organization.
- Ensure that our suppliers base is well developing in line with our business plan including trends for the overall technical, quality and heavy specific requirements of our nuclear & military business.
- Ensure that the resources, processes, way of working and tools are developed and maintained according to strategies in defined area of responsibility.
- Participate in our procedures, process & instructions handbook enrichment.
- Secure agility of our supply capacity facing as 1st challenge growing demand (level of requirements & volumes).
- Proactively work to enable cross-divisional and cross-organizational cooperation.
- Develop and maintain good stakeholders and supplier relationships.
- Secure optimal suppliers network and/or operations in defined area of responsibility.
- Maintain supply data to relevant systems in defined area of responsibility related to supply matters including also decarbonization contribution.
You will work in close collaboration with related manager & team members & group categories stakeholders.
For us to be the best match, we expect you to have understanding in the criticality of supply chain management continuity facing any external turmoil and internal more stringent requirements when purchasing critical components in a similar area. As the ideal candidate, you are a senior expert in the supply chain, dealing with obsolescence and technical knowledge would be a must. For you to succeed in the position, we expect from you to have an entrepreneurial drive implementation attitude and a managerial potential gaining alignment of team members & extended stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Excellent knowledges in sourcing & procurement management including industrial project management techniques.
- Serious engines products technical knowledge and quality standards to understand the challenges and needs of projects.
- Sourcing & regulations risk management global approach & consideration.
- Fluent English & French capacity, and you are advanced in computer software’s with mastery into KPi & ERP tools.
- A real sense of established interpersonal & growing managerial skills.
- A good ability of negotiation & legal techniques.
- An open mind for improvement & collaborative resolution.
In this role, travel capacity is required to meet our suppliers & operations facility centers. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 15%, even though most of the meetings at nominal pace are held virtually.
